Hi, my name is Curtis Washington and I, along with my wife Mara, am the owner/operator of Abstrakt Phokus Media. To be honest, Abstrakt Phokus was never supposed to be what it has become today. It was merely meant to be a hobby. I think back to how it all started. My wife and I were sitting in the living room of our one-bedroom apartment watching these amazing YouTube videos of cars from all over the country and even the world. But then I noticed the lack of representation for my home state of SC and thought to myself, maybe I can create that. From there, down the rabbit hole I went. In time I went from solely filming/photographing cars, to working weddings, birthdays, and even doing branding work for small businesses. 

As service members in the Army National Guard, selfless service was a core value, among others, that was ingrained in us through our training. It is also a value that we strive to showcase with each client we meet, and every project we turn in. Abstrakt Phokus Media is more than just an entity that takes photos or records videos. On the contrary, we strive to create an experience that you will not only struggle to forget but will find yourself compelled to brag about. Our motto, “We take moments and create memories” is personified in every aspect of the Abstrakt Phokus experience.
